I was ships company Air detachment from Dec 1981 to Jan 1984. She sailed through some ugly storms and never faltered (except for the evaps). Looking for the name of the Baby Doc who was ships company at that time. Thanks and it was sad to see Her go.

To all shipmate of the HMCS Huron in the years 54-55. If any of you sailed with ABTD1 Pierre Braun part of the TAS division, I am his son. I have been with the Canadian Forces as a Medic for 20 years. I am sad to inform you the he passed away on the 4th August 2010 at the age of 79. He loved his time in the navy. Everytime we talked it was about his time in. He was proud to serve with each and everyone of you. Any comments are welcomed.

I saw the destruction of the derelict DDH on the Military History Channel recently and was compelled to research her history. Great lineage, great ship. I salute her...US Marine 1967-1970. Served aboard USS Boxer LPH4 and USS Cambria APA36
